WSU Soccer Ranked 20th

The Washington State women’s soccer team was picked 20th in Soccer America’s 1995 Preseason Collegiate Top 20 poll.

It marks the first time the Cougars have earned mention in the preseason poll. Nine-time defending champion North Carolina earned the No. 1 ranking, followed by Notre Dame, Stanford, Duke and Portland.

Five of the teams mentioned in the preseason poll are on the Cougars’ 18-match schedule this fall. WSU is coming off a 12-7-1 season which included its first trip to the NCAA Tournament. , DataTimes
