Freeman continued its winning ways, defeating Newport 2-1 to secure a spot at state. Kasey Christiansen scored in the first half to give the Scotties the lead. Laura Ruby extended the lead in the second half with a goal of her own. Newport finally scored right at the end of the match on a goal by Kennedy Kindred.
