Summary

Jessi Gibbons scored 10 points, Makenna Stewart and Kenadie Arthur each had 8 and Kellogg battled back for a 35-33 nonleague girls basketball win over host Lakeside on Tuesday. Kellogg came out shooting in the second half and quickly erased a five-point halftime deficit behind a pair of 3-pointers. Avery Brown-Sonder led Lakeside with 17 points and 12 rebounds. Kellogg protected its lead throughout the fourth quarter, with Lakeside coming closest to regaining the advantage at the end of the game when Francine Hendricks desperation heave from half court rattled out as the buzzer sounded.
