Lynn E. Tower 86, of Spokane passed away on Sept. 7th, 2024. Lynn was born on Feb. 24th, 1938, in Burns, Oregon, to Harvey and Doris (Reed) Tower. He graduated from Lewis and Clark High School in 1956. Lynn went on to attend Washington State University and graduated in 1962 with a degree in Mechanical Engineering. After graduation, he joined the Army and was stationed in Huntsville, Alabama. Lynn returned to Bovill, Idaho, in 1963 to propose to his longtime sweetheart, Doris Crane. The couple went on to have three children together. Lynn worked at Kaiser Aluminum for 38 years in Spokane, Washington, Mexico, Missouri, and Mandaville, Jamaica. He retired while working at the Mead plant in Spokane in 1999. Lynn enjoyed golf, slow pitch softball, and many outdoor activities such as camping and fishing. He was unfailingly kind and loved by many friends and family. Lynn was preceded in death by his brothers, Lee (Jo) and Arthur (Michelle) Tower. He is survived by his wife, Doris Tower; sons, Jeff (Cheryl) and Dan (Alyssa); daughter, Laura; grandchildren, Whitney (Jake), Josh (Emily), Justin (Katie), and Max; as well as two great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews. A Celebration of his life is scheduled for 11:00 a.m. on Sept. 23rd, at the Sunset Chapel at Fairmount Memorial Park. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Lynn’s life.
