BICYCLING -- Dave Mannino, the bikemaster mechanic at Two Wheel Transit, has been taking care of my customized five-speed commuter bicycle for more than 35 years.

It's my baby and I won't take it to just anyone.

Nobody ever suggested it's a pretty baby, but Mannino plays no favorites. He knows it by name and looks forward to its annual tune up to make sure it purrs like a bike half its age.
