USFWS to consider protection of Monarch butterfly
With the number of monarch butterflies decreasing nearly 90 percent over the past two decades despite international agreements and farmer-training programs to protect the migratory species, the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service is expected to consider listing the species as endangered in 2015.
