Spring grizzly bear hunt cancelled in Alberta

HUNTING -- The lack of a sustainable population of grizzly bears in Alberta once again prompted the province to cancel a spring grizzly bear hunt, according to todays story in the Calgary Herald.

For the fifth consecutive year, the province's traditional spring grizzly bear hunt is off. Conservation groups are please with the decision, but split on how the province should ensure survival of the species.
