Still going strong

I usually note but don't react to birthdays that I see daily on my Facebook feed. But former Hayden mayor Ron McIntire is an exception. Ron turned 80 this week. On Wednesday. His daughter, Becky McIntire Boifeuillet, made mention of the milestone in a Facebook post. So what's so special about turning 80? Ron still works 6 days a week at his Super 1 grocery store in Hayden, overseeing a grocery chain that has stores in Idaho, Washington and Montana. Until a year ago, he was also mayor of Hayden. A year ago, he and wife, Joanne, donated $1M to the Kootenai Health expansion. Why am I mentioning this? I'm fascinated by people who can -- and have earned the right to retire -- but keep on keeping on. Ron McIntire is a perfect example of someone who continues to contribute to his community.

Question: Do you know someone who keeps on keeping on?
