Today is the final day to report your weight loss results with the Pound for Pound Challenge. For every pound you have lost, General Mills will donate a pound of food to Feeding America and their network of over 200 food banks.
Currently, one in eight Americans finds hunger a struggle. By reporting your weight loss, you will be helping to feed thousands of low-income families and individuals. In today's economic crunch, more and more people are finding themselves in a pinch when it comes to putting food on the table.
Waiting until the last day to report out, I was hoping to shave those last few pounds before today. I am sad to say that I did not reach my original goal, though I do feel good about the weight I have lost. While I didn't hit my initial goal, I have lost those holiday pounds and then some, my clothes fit better and I feel healthier overall. This challenge was just what I needed to motivate myself into getting fit.
And it doesn't hurt the feel-good factor to know that I have been a part of feeding people in need.
Don't forget to report out at http://www.pfpchallenge.com/
