There's a veritable feast of activities on the community's calendar this weekend. The challenge will be getting to everything. Here are some highlights, but I'm sure I'm going to miss some important ones so please feel free to leave a comment with information about an event that might be of interest to readers. Or cruise on over to Spokane 7's calendarfor all the weekend listings. Home: The Holiday Heritage Home Tour, an event sponsored by the Spokane Preservation Advocates, will give attendees a peek inside four historic homes on the South Hill. I've been inside the one at 1201 S. Adams, and seeing it alone is worth the $15 admission fee. Saturday, 12-4 p.m. (509) 456-3828. 1115 W. 10th Ave. Holiday: Journey to the North Pole, the Coeur d'Alene resort's annual Christmas lights display. Includes 40-minute boat cruises to the North Pole. The boat leaves daily at 5:30, 6:30 and 7:30 p.m. Read more here. Christmas Tree Elegance, the over-the-top tree raffle held at the Davenport Hotel every year in support of the Spokane Symphony. For just $1, you get a chance at winning a tree and the gifts that surround it, which usually include trips. Starts Friday and ends Dec. 12. More here. The annual Handel's Messiah Community Sing-Along at First Presbyterian Church is on Sunday. Go early (4:45 p.m.) if you want to sing, or enjoy the performance, which starts at 7. 318 S. Cedar St. (509) 747-1058. Arts and Crafts: There are too many craft fairs to list them all, so do please leave a comment if there's one you want to promote. This one in particular ought to be interesting, though. The Lilac City Rollergirls, Spokane's very own roller derby team, will host a "Crafter's Black Market" at the Corbin Senior Center, 827 W. Cleveland Ave. from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. on Saturday. (509) 280-3389 for more information. The Alternate Gift Fair, which benefits Hope House and the Second Harvest Food Bank, will be held at the Unitarian Universalist Church, 4340 W. Fort George Wright Drive. (509) 325-6383. The Clay Arts Guild of North Idaho will host Mud and Spirits, a Christmas pottery show, Friday (11 a.m.-7 p.m.) and Saturday (9 a.m.-8 p.m.) at the Kootenai County Fairgrounds in Coeur d'Alene.
